Manchester– Alice E. Tetu, 96, died July 14, 2012 at Mount Carmel Nursing home following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on August 7, 1915 the daughter of Amedee and Rosalie (Vanasse) Levesque and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She was both a lifetime member of St. Anne Sodality of St. Anthony Church as well as a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Tetu on January 9, 1997. She and her husband Robert enjoyed organized bus trips to various shrines throughout Canada and the U.S. They also spent many summers at Hampton Beach and winters in St. Petersburg, FL. She volunteered at New Horizon Soup Kitchen for many years.
Family members include 3 children, Emile Tetu and his wife Suzanne, Pauline Robitaille and her husband Pierre, Rev. Richard Tetu, all of Manchester, 9 grandchildren , 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM in Mount Carmel Nursing Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM following calling hours.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
