New Bedford - Pauline (Bak) Turgeon, 86, of New Bedford passed away July 9, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of John E. Turgeon.
Mrs. Turgeon was born in Westport, daughter of the late Peter J. and Annie (Marnik) Bak, and resided in New Bedford. She was employed for many years as an Executive Secretary with Aerovox, Inc. She was a former Miss New Bedford 1946. She loved animals.
Survivors include a daughter: Helene P. Turgeon; a son: Brian J. Turgeon; 2 grandchildren: Christopher and Jordan Turgeon; and several nieces & nephews.
Following cremation, her funeral Mass will be at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Church, New Bedford. Private interment will be held at a later date at Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne.
