In Taunton, Frances “Fran” A. White, age 83, a lifelong resident, passed away suddenly Friday, July 13th. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Almon A. White. Fran & Al had seven children Donna Emond & her husband Marc of Carver, Deborah Hinckley & her husband George of Marstons Mills, Dyan White of Fall River, Almon White Jr. of RI, Stephen White & his wife Jane of Dighton, Michael White and his wife Dianne of Taunton and Marianne White & Joe Fernandes of Bourne. She also leaves six grandchildren Marc Emond & his wife Kristen of Carver, Jill Lawrence & her husband Glen of Plymouth, Ryan Branco of Fall River, Christen White of Florida, Jennifer White & her fiancé John Joubert of Taunton, Kyle White of Taunton and her late grandson Nicholas Branco. She was the sister of Patricia Hackett, Alice Perry, Joan Ventura, Carolyn Ryan and Charles Ryan Jr. Fran was a remarkable woman. She continued her childhood friendships throughout her life. All who came to her home were made to feel welcome, so much so that even her children’s friends would come back to visit when they were in town. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children & grandchildren. She was always ready to baby sit whenever needed. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, reading and the occasional trip to Foxwoods. She was an extraordinary cook and baker and you never entered her home without smelling something delicious cooking. Her acerbic wit, which all of her children inherited, will keep us smiling in her absence. It is her gift that keeps on giving. She will be sorely missed. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, July 17th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
