TEWKSBURY Irene Grace (Arpin) O’Reilly, age 77, a resident of Tewksbury for four decades, died Thursday morning, July 12, at the Wingate at Belvidere following a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of James F. O’Reilly, with whom she had celebrated a 44th wedding anniversary this past May.
She was born in Lowell, February 17, 1935, one of seven children of the late Wilfred Arpin and Amanda (McGaunn) Arpin. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She had lived in Tewksbury for the past 42 years, and was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
She was employed in electronic assembly at Compugraphic in Wilmington, and later at Stuart’s department store at the Oakdale Mall in Tewksbury.
In her retirement, she was active at the Tewksbury Senior Center, where she was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Henry R. Massicotte and his partner Brenda Boisseau of Ayer, MA, and Darlene T. Ledoux and her husband Gary D. Ledoux of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren, Kendyl of Ayer, Beckey of Leominster, D.J. of FL, Brian, Thomas and Christopher all of Nashua, NH; a sister, Pauline Betty of Hudson, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late James O’Reilly and sister of the late Emile, Robert, Henry, Armand, and Wilfred “Bill” Arpin.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday July 16, 2012 in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Committal prayers followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, E. Chelmsford. Memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, are appreciated.
