Obituary

Robert A. "Shakey" Lemieux, 70, of Manchester, died July 11, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Manchester, February12, 1942, to Joseph and Rita (Adams) Lemieux.
He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School, class of 1960, and later served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard.
For over 39 years "Shakey" worked as a Selector for Associated Grocers. For 34 years he was a member of Local 633 of the Teamsters. Following his retirement he served as Secretary/Treasurer for the retirees for eight years. He was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post #2.
Shakey was a solid NE sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grand children. He will be remembered as being generous to a fault, having a quick wit, and his kindness to all who came his way. He will be missed.

Family members include his children, Marlene Jenkins, of Manchester, Randy Lemieux, of Deerfield, Christine Cote, of Bedford, David Wilson of Manchester, Charlene French, of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; his siblings, Edward Lizotte, of Merrimack, Richard Lizotte, of Goffstown, Leo Lizotte, of Londonderry, Pauline Lizotte, of MD; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his stepfather Roger Lizotte.


A funeral liturgy took place on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, Manchester.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
