Joseph D. Amedeo, 74, of Westport died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was husband of Beverly Ann (Manchester) Amedeo and the late Cynthia M. (Mello) Amedeo.
Born in Fall River, he was son of the late Joseph and Rose (Gazeris) Amedeo. Mr. Amedeo served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a supervisor for Fall River Gas Company.
Including his wife, survivors include 4 daughters: Melissa M. Amedeo-Travers of Fairhaven, Trinity L. Amedeo-Kizer of Somerset, Jody L. Gosselin of Fall River and Tina M. Montgomery of Fall River; a brother: Robert Amedeo of Boxford, MA; a sister: Angelina Amarantes of Tiverton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Potter Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Sunday 1 – 3 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
