Obituary

Arthur Hermanson, age 93, of Pembroke, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

He was the beloved husband of Bernadette "Penny" (Walter) Hermanson for 61 1/2 years. Arthur is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Arthur J. & Elizabeth (Greenburg) Hermanson.

Arthur was a graduate of Rindge High School in Cambridge, MA, and New England College in Henniker, NH. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran, World War II.

He was a member of the Corner Stone Lodge A.F.+ A.M. in Duxbury; a Past Patron of Duxbury Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; a member of Pilgrim Chapter, O.E.S.; member of Taleb Grotto; member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Boston; a member of Boston Commandery Knights Templar; a past Captain of the Medical Corps of Aleppo Temple Shriners; a past President of the South Shore Shrine Club and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters in Boston.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Silver Lake Chapel, 33 Lake Street, Plympton on Sunday, July 15 at 4:00 PM, followed by a Masonic Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals in Boston.
