Obituary

LeRoy H. Ham, Jr., 83, of Worcester died Monday, July 9th in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. His wife of 48 years, Jean A. (Barnes) Ham died on August 23, 2011. He leaves a brother, Robert J. Ham of Worcester; several cousins in Massachusetts and California and many dear friends.
He was born in Worcester, the son of LeRoy Sr. and Alice (Doherty) Ham and lived in Paxton for 35 years before returning to Worcester. LeRoy graduated from St. Peter’s High School and Clark University. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during the Korean War.
Mr. Ham was a Production Scheduler for 30 years at the former George Meyer Co. of Worcester and West Boylston, retiring in 1985. He then worked for H.R. Block Co. in Worcester and at Chase Paper Co. in Westboro. LeRoy enjoyed traveling, reading, photography and computers. He also followed the New England sports teams.
His funeral is Thursday, July 12th with a service at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
