Obituary

Robert Jarvis 71, of Franklin, died Saturday July 7, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Patricia L. (Hart) Jarvis.
Born June 11, 1941 in Boston a son of the late John and Mary (Martin) Jarvis, he was a longtime Franklin resident.
He was raised and educated in Franklin, and worked as a firefighter for the Town of Franklin for 36 years until his retirement in 2002. A man of a strong work ethic, he was also a special police officer for the town, worked security at the former Foxboro Raceway & Foxboro Stadium and was also a constable for many years.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, camping, and cruises. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, the Franklin Rod & Gun Club, Fire Fighters Local 2637, the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts, the International Association of Fire Fighters and St. Mary’s Church.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by a son Robert J. Jarvis and his wife Justine of Mendon, 2 daughters: Julia “Lee” Ramsey of Blackstone & Tricia Ann Brennick of Franklin, a sister Peggy Steadman of Woburn. Also surviving are his grandchildren Travis & Kelly Ramsey, Catherine Brennick and Sophia & Grace Jarvis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with Franklin Fire Department Honors Friday July 13th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery will be held privately.
Calling hours are Thursday July 12th, from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
