Winifred M. Newell age 86 of Methuen, MA, formerly of Cambridge, MA, died Friday at the Mariner Health Care, Methuen, MA.
She was born in Cambridge, MA, where she grew up and attended schools. Mrs. Newell was a resident of Methuen, MA for the past 2 years, formerly of Cambridge.
Mrs. Newell was a retired candy worker for Welch’s Candy in Cambridge, MA.
She was predeceased by her husband William H. Newell Sr.
She is survived by 4 Sons: Lawrence & his Wife Carol Newell of Salem, NH
William & his Wife Frances Newell of Manchester, NH
Edward & his Wife Marie Newell of Methuen, MA
Kenneth Newell of Derry, NH

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, MA.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Funeral Home.
