Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Ekbal (Guirguis) Hanna, 77, died peacefully at her residence on Friday, July 6, 2012.
She was born in Cairo, Egypt on August 15, 1934 the daughter of the late Saleh Guirguis and Blanche Abdelmesieh Tadros.
Mrs. Hanna was the wife of the late Naguib B. Hanna. She is survived by her loving children; Iman H. Martin of San Diego , CA; Nader B. Hanna of Epson, NH; Nabel H. Johnson of Lunenberg and Manal B. Hanna of Alton, NH. Sister of Nawal S. Ramzy of Holland and Phoebe S. Hanna of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mrs. Hanna has been a resident of Framingham for over 37 years and came to the United States from Egypt. She began her career in the United States as an accomplished seamstress and later became an accountant with John Hancock. For many years she was a teller with BayBank and retired after a long and distinguished career as the Senior Teller for Bank of America. For several years she has been associated with Home Depot in Natick as a sales associate. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family and her many friends.
Visitations will be held today, Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church, 145 Oak St, Natick.
Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Ekbal’s memory may be sent to St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church.
