James E. Harvey, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully at the Winchester Hospital. He was 93.
Mr. Harvey was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late Ira and the late Elizabeth (Porter) Harvey. A Navy veteran of World War II who fought in the Pacific, James was a member of American Legion Post 45 in Medford. Throughout his professional life, James worked as an engineer and manager with Stone and Webster Engineering Corp.
The beloved husband of the late Helen M. (Bowles), James was a devoted father to Thomas Harvey and his wife Eleanor PA, David Harvey and his wife Noreen of NH, Robert Harvey and his wife Kathy, Virginia Pitts and her husband Stan, all of Ohio, Nancy Ruderman and her husband David of Woburn. James is also lovingly survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday morning, July 10th from 9 thru 10:30 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
