Priscilla J. “Pat” (Davenport) (Sampson) Wile, 90 of Winter Haven Florida, formerly of East Bridgewater, passed away on July 2nd surround by her family, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Donald Sampson and Norman J. Wile.
Born and brought up in East Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Condon) Davenport, and a graduate of East Bridgewater High, Class of 1939.
Pat had resided in East Bridgewater for most of her life, working at Hilltop Candy of West Bridgewater as well as tending bar for various establishments in the Bridgewaters before her move to Florida in 2007.
She is survived by her loving children Donna Sampson of FL, and Donald Sampson and his wife Vangie of Hanson, her granddaughters Dianne Sampson of Duxbury, and Dauna Sampson of Pembroke. She is also survived by her dear friend Helene Sampson of FL and her special niece Jeanne Lundin of AZ as well several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Donald Sampson, Jr. and sister of the late Mary Piava, Rose Burnham, Dorothy Pisco, and Edna, Lillian, Walter, Robert, and Charles Davenport.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday July 10 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
