Obituary

John F. Higgins, 50, of Medway died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Born in Natick on January 23, 1962, he was a son of Margaret L. (Malloy) Higgins of Medway and the late Henry T. Higgins.

Mr. Higgins was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1980. He attended UMass and later graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Norwood.

Mr. Higgins proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1983-1987 attaining the rank of corporal.

He had worked as an electronics test technician at the former CTDI in Westborough.

Mr. Higgins was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed military history and trips to places of military significance.

Besides his mother, he is survived by; three brothers, Lance P. Higgins of Medway, Thomas J. Higgins of Brighton and David D. Higgins of Milford, a sister, Jane F. Higgins-Greene and her husband Brian Greene of Medway, a niece, Kathryn Greene and two nephews Brandon and James Greene.

He was the brother of the late Francis D. Higgins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway on Tuesday, July 10 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Red Cross - Financial Development, 139 Main St., Cambridge, MA 02142 or to LaSalette Shrine, 947 Park St., Attleboro, MA 02703.
