Susan Marie Hughes, 53, of Chelmsford, died peacefully Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
Susan, daughter of the late Francis C. and Annette (Arsenault) Hughes, was born in Methuen April 19, 1959 and lived here many years before moving to Chelmsford. Susan enjoyed gardening and collecting angels. Despite the many obstacles in her life, she remained a happy, positive person who enjoyed making people laugh and made friends wherever she went.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Shauna J. Campagnone and her husband Anthony of Methuen, Kenneth C. Michel, Jr. of Lawrence, Nicole A. Michel and Nicholas L. Michel, both of North Andover, Krista M. Michel and her fiancé John Monfet of Methuen and Samantha R. Dietrich of Chelmsford; four grandchildren, Alexis J. Couture, Aiden C. Michel, Makayla Campagnone and Anthony Campagnone, Jr.; two sisters, Kathleen Giordano and her husband Benjamin of Methuen and Brenda Deacon and her fiancé Andrew Lien of Pepperell; two brothers, Daniel Hughes and his wife Michele of Derry, NH and Michael Hughes and his wife Nicole of Methuen; her sister-in-law Brenda Hannagan of Methuen and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Susan’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 4 – 8 PM. A graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10 AM.
