Richard W.S. Fernandes, 39, of Westport died unexpectedly, Monday, July 2, 2012 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jennifer R. (Bazinet) Fernandes.
Born in Fall River, son of Patricia (Stanley) Cadieux and her husband Kevin of Westport and the late Jose J. Fernandes, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He was a road construction foreman for many years. Mr. Fernandes enjoyed his coffee and tabs and going for rides.
Including his wife and mother, survivors include his children: Brayton W. Fernandes, Abigail K. Fernandes, Jack S. Fernandes and Morgan E. Fernandes; a brother: Jose J. Fernandes, Jr. of Westport; a sister: Lori A. Almeida of Fairhaven; and his mother-in-law: Deborah A. Goddu of Westport.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 4 – 7 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
