SOUTHWICK – Cecile J. Gagnon, 84, of Southwick, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Holyoke on February 21, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Armand and Rita (Archambault) Gagnon. She was a resident of Belchertown for many years before moving to Southwick in 2001. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She leaves her loving sisters, Annette T. Beaulieu of Belchertown and her twin sister, Lucille T. Paul and her husband, Henry “Tucker” of Westfield; her loving brother, Raymond A. Gagnon and his wife, Sophie, of Granby; her special angel and loving caregiver with whom she lived, Sandra Litwak, of Southwick; and her many dear nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Her funeral will be held on Saturday morning, July 7, 2012 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8 a.m.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning, July 7, 2012 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. before the Mass. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Southwick Community Episcopal Church, 660 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077.
