Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street,(Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Casimir Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Obituary
Mrs. Yakavonis died Thursday morning on her 87th birthday at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham. She was born in Waterbury, CT, raised and made her home in Brockton, daughter of the late Cazimer and Elizabeth (Alisauskas) Motekaitis. Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1935. She and her husband owned and operated Yakavonis Funeral Home in Brockton until their retirement in 1980 to Falmouth. She had been a Past President of the PTO at St. Casimir School and a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed flower gardening. While living in Brockton she was a communicant of St. Casimir Church and former Member of Womens Sodality.
She is survived by three daughters, Anne C. Euerle of Foxboro, Ruthe Nicholson of Quincy, Dianne Muller of Bridgewater and a son, Vincent J. Yakavonis, MD Barrington,RI, seven grandchildren, one sister Agnes Benoit, two brothers, Vitold and Albert Motekaitis all of Brockton.
