Obituary

MOUNDRIDGE, KANSAS: William O. “Bill” Frey, 60, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
He was born in Goessel, Kansas on September 9, 1951 the son of the late Orlin Frey and Esther (Meyers) Frey of Mount Morris, Illinois.
Besides his mother Esther, he is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 20 years Pamela A. (Lee) Frey of Moundridge, KS. Beloved father of Jeremy E. Hegge of Anchorage, AK; Kenneth W. Frey and his wife Rosalynn Frey of Garden City, KS and Matthew R. Frey of Moundridge, KS. Brother of Mary J. Griffin and her husband Don Griffin of Oregon, IL and Sam Frey and his wife Susie Frey of Denver, CO. Grandfather of Cooper, Carter and Caris Frey all of Garden City, KS. He was the son-in-law of Dorothy (Wells) Lee and Edward Lee, Sr. of Cochituate. Brother-in-law of Edward Lee, Jr. and his wife Didi Lee of Ashland; James Lee of Cochituate and Virginia and Gregory Livingstone of Cochituate. He is also survived by an aunt and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Goessel and graduated from Mt. Morris High School in Illinois. He attended Hesston College and McPherson College in Kansas and Wichita State. For over 35 years he has been leased with Donovan Mayflower Trucking in Franklin, MA, and was named the Mayflower Driver of the Year in 2005. Bill was an active member of the NRA and a collector of guns. He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed horseback riding, history, photography and travel. He was involved in Boy Scouting in Moundridge and Hesston.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:30 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Route 30), Cochituate.
Interment will be held at the First Mennonite Church of Christian Cemetery in Moundridge, KS on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial gifts in Bill’s memory may be sent to the First Mennonite Church of Christian, 719 South Christian Ave., Moundridge, KS 67107 and would be appreciated.
