Fall River – Elizabeth “Betty” (Pelland) Kirker, 89, widow of Charles W. Kirker, Sr., of Fall River, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Crawford Skilled Nursing Home.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Archie and Marie B. (Parisee) Pelland, and was a lifetime resident of the city. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Kirker was employed as a presser for Independent Cleaners in Fall River.
She is survived by: 5 sons: Edward Kirker of Fall River, John Kirker of Fall River, Joseph Kirker of Fall River, Thomas Kirker of San Luis Obispo, CA and David Kirker of San Lorenzo, CA; 4 daughters: Jane M. Lauterbach of Fall River, Phyllis E. Ravenelle of Westport, Barbara Dupuis of Fall River and Patricia Frantz of Export, PA; a sister: Bella Rebecchi of Riverside, RI; 30 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Paul Kirker, James Kirker and Robert Kirker, the stepmother of the late Chester Kirker and Charles Kirker, Jr. and the sister of the late Archie Pelland, Joseph Pelland, Delia Bouchard, Evelyn Martin and Germaine St. Pierre.
Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004 from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
