TAUNTON - Henrique Machado Vieira of Taunton, son of the late Manuel & Elzira Vieira, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 1, 2012.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores, he moved to the United States 39 years ago with his wife to raise his family.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, Mr. Vieira loved Portuguese food, wine, and spending time with family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maria Lourdes Vieira; 9 children, Carlos, Eddie, Elsie, Connie, Carmen, Joe, Henry, Lucia and Goretti; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a brother, Jacinto; a sister, Maria DeSousa; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, July 7th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 6th from 6 to 9 p.m.
