Obituary

Jeannette T. (Veilleux) (Lesmerises) Tardiff, 83, of Bedford, died June 23, 2012 at Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born in St. Wenceslas, Quebec, Canada on April 13, 1929 to George and Lillian (Lamothe) Veilleux. She lived in the Manchester area for most of her life.
Jeannette worked as the first female shipping clerk and first non-administrative employee at Seal Tanning in Manchester. She also served as shop steward in the employee union. In addition, she worked at Manchester area mills, Auclair Transportation and Computer Vision.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert J. Lesmerises; her second husband, Raymond Tardiff; and two brothers, Maurice Veilleux and Lucien Veilleux.
The family includes four children, Claudette Bessette and her husband, Rene, of Candia, Pauline Lesmerises of Albany, NY, Constance Rosser and her husband, Jefferson, of Charleston, SC, and Doris Tillson and her husband, Harold, of Bristol; a step daughter, Cynthia Wines and her husband, Robert, of Fremont; four grandchildren, David Bessette, Michelle Brent and her husband, John, Elise DuBois and Nicole DuBois; two great grandchildren, Krystal and Christina Bessette; a brother, Roger Veilleux and his wife, Pauline; a sister, Priscilla Kelley and her husband, Loring; a sister in law, Ruth Veilleux; and nieces and nephews.
Services were private and at the convenience of the family. Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
