Summer J. Leavitt, 10, of Mendon Road, died on Tuesday, June 26th in Landmark Medical Center. Summer was the daughter of Donna Desrosiers. She was born on October 15, 2001 in Providence, RI.
Summer had attended Globe Park School. She is remembered as a happy girl and was a Special Olympian. Summer was also an organ donor.
In addition to her mother, Summer is survived by her birth mom, Carol Leavitt and Summer's siblings, Kenneth Leavitt, Eric Desrosiers, Sam Desrosiers, Kelly Melville and Kerry Saltvman, and her maternal grandmother, Bella St.Laurent of Blackstone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket at 10:30AM on Friday, July 6th. Calling hours are omitted and burial will be private.
