ELIZABETH F. (DOWNEY) PRESLEY, age 88, a lifelong resident of Hingham, died on Tuesday, May 4th at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Presley was born in Hingham and was a graduate of Hingham High School. For many years she was the dietitian for the Hingham School Department, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Hingham Congregational Church and was an active volunteer for the Hingham Council on Aging.She was the mother of Kenneth R. Presley of Hingham, George H. Presley of Marshfield,Carol J. Scannell of Florida, Mary Lou Finneran of Tennessee and the late Dorothy Ann Myers. Aunt of Milton Ingram of Hingham and Robert E. Ingram of Oklahoma. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, May 7th at 10 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Thursday from 4-7 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the South Shore,P.O. Box 859060, Braintree, MA 02185-9060.The interment will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
