Obituary

Sterling, Ct.
Linda D. (Osowski) Jackel, 58, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the Ct. Hospice in Branford, Ct.
She leaves behind 3 children; Tiffany M. Kneeland and her husband Nate of Woodstock, Jonathan R. Jackel and his wife Niccie of Putnam, and Elizabeth H. Jackel of Sterling, 3 grandchildren; Gabe, Link, and Sami, and a sister; Sheryl Dubois and her husband Robert of Dudley and a niece, Samantha Dubois.
Linda was born in Webster, MA. A daughter of the late Henry R. and Lorraine D. (Cyr) Osowski and was raised in Dudley and Webster.
Family was the most important thing in Linda’s life. A loving mother and proud grandmother, she always put her kids first. She was a mother to everyone, no one was ever turned away. She was also a wonderful mom to her dog Ninja, who she adored with all her heart.
Linda had a passion for the outdoors. Her favorite place in the world was the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She always talked of building her dream house at the base of a mountain someday. She said she would have horses there as well, she loved riding and being with the horses deeply.
An avid sports fan, she closely followed the Patriots, the Boston Bruins, and her beloved Red Sox. She considered herself blessed to see the Red Sox win the World Series twice in her lifetime.
Linda was deeply rooted in her faith. Her relationship with Jesus was more than something she just spoke of.
Through all the hard times, she always trusted that God would carry her and supply all her needs. Her faith shone most brightly when she was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2011. Instead of crumbling in fear or sadness, she was boldly telling everyone who would listen that God would heal her. The Peace, the confidence, he joy was so evident to all she encountered. And on June 24, 2012, God gave her the healing she knew that He would. With her children gathered and singing to her, she entered the gates of Heaven and was home with the Savior she loved so much. She left a legacy of Faith, Love, Commitment, and Family ties to her children and grandchildren, who will miss her, but are rejoicing, knowing that we will see her again.
