Obituary

Rohlfing, Maurice “Roy” age 63, of Readville, formerly of Jamaica Plain passed at his home Monday, June 25, 2012. His passing was peaceful. An Accomplished painter and a lifetime member of District Council 35 Painters and Allied Trades, and a member of American Legion Post 76 Jamaica Plain.

Roy was the son of the late Roy Rohlfing and the late Alice MacCormack Rohlfing. Best friend to Edith Evans Johnson of Easton. Devoted father of Roy Rohlfing and his wife Athena of Belmont, Derek Rohlfing and his wife Nancy of Shrewsbury. Cherished grandfather of Katelyn, Allison, Thomas, and Henry. Loving brother of James MacCormack of Madrid Spain, Joanne MacCormack of Panama City, Fl., Robert Rohlfing of West Roxbury, Jacqueline Kelly of Hyde Park, Alyce Rohlfing of Roslindale, and George Rohlfing of Quincy. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Saturday, June 30th at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10:00am. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 35 Scholarship Fund, 25 Colgate Road, Roslindale, MA 02131
