formally of Tewksbury, Richard C. Rodwell, age 74, a longtime resident of Topsfield, died Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
He was born in Medford on June 27, 1937, the son of the late William J. and Lillian C. (Cunningham) Rodwell. He was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Boston College, where he earned a degree in business administration. He taught elementary school in the Tyngsboro and Malden school systems, retiring from the Malden district in 1999 after a 35 year career.
He is survived by a brother, Dr. John D. Rodwell of New Hope, PA, a sister Mary E. Andriolo of Milford and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William J. Rodwell, Jr. and Diane C. Rodwell.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday morning, June 29, 2012 from 9:00AM-10:15AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM on Friday in St. Rose of Lima Parish, Park Street, Topsfield. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
