Obituary

Sara A. Escudero, age 64, of Stoughton, died unexpectedly, Sunday, June 24, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Sara was the wife for 43 years of Jorge Vidal. Born and raised in Valparaiso, Chile, she was the daughter of the late Juan Escudero and Aida Varas. A resident of Stoughton since 1985, Sara was a graduate of Massasoit Community College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Massachusetts, Boston. She had been employed for nearly 20 years as a nurse, first at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton and currently at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale. Sara was hard working and always put others needs before her own. Education and continuing to learn throughout her life were very important to her, as well as the pride she felt for her daughters and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters Claudia Gallagher and her husband David of Wareham; Carolina Vidal, Paula Vidal and her husband Jason Vivada and Perla Vidal all of Stoughton; two grandchildren Emily Rose and David Gallagher, Jr.; four sisters Laura, Marta, Rosa and Cristina Escudero all of Chile and many nieces and nephews in Chile and Sweden.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm. A service in the funeral home will be held Friday at 10am. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
