Obituary

Manchester– Laurent J. “Larry” Labbe, 74 died peacefully Friday evening surrounded by his loving family after an extended period of failing health. A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was born to the late Joseph and Laurette (Lavallee) Labbe on August 28, 1937. He was predeceased by his brother, Edouard Labbe.
He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School and joined the U. S. Naval Reserves before graduating from St. Anselm College. He was employed at Moreau’s, worked as an auditor for Goulet Supply Co., and was a partial owner of Marlin R. V. in Candia. He was married in 1968, and passed away just weeks before his 44th wedding anniversary. He raced dirt bikes for many years and loved playing cribbage and slot cars with his family and friends while enjoying a glass of merlot. He was an enthusiastic NASCAR and Red Sox fan. A devoted Christian, he took great pride in serving his church as an adult altar server and Eucharistic Minister.
He is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Ringenwald) Labbe and three beautiful children, Monique, Joseph, and Matthew, all of Manchester. He had two grandsons, Ethan Labbe and Justin Labbe, whom he adored, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their thanks to the amazing staff at Catholic Medical Center.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester.
A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi School, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield, NH 03052.
