EAST BRIDGEWATER - Dorothea L. (Curtis) Forni, 79, of East Bridgewater died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Alfonso Forni.
Born and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Curtis.
Mrs. Forni was formerly employed with Commonwealth Shoe Co. and the former A.R. Parker’s Restaurant in East Bridgewater.
She enjoyed knitting quilts, playing the piano, cooking and bowling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette M. Sheehan and her husband Donald J Sr. of Pembroke; her son, Michael J. Forni Sr. of East Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Donald Sheehan Jr., Kristin M. Sheehan, Michael J. Forni Jr., Kerry Isidorio and Brian J. Forni; her great-grandchildren, Anthony (Tony), Stephanie and Jacob and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Beverly French.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 12 p.m. in St. John Church. Burial will be in Central Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Visiting Nurses of East Bridgewater.
