WORCESTER___Agnes T. (Oveka) Kulesza, 87, of St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St., formerly of Eastalee Dr., Spencer died after a short illness Sunday May 2 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. Her husband of 43 years, Valerian P. Kulesza died in 1982.
She leaves two sons, Valerian N. Kulesza of Spencer; and Dennis P. Kulesza of Douglas; three daughters, Donna H. Ruskin of Bourne; Susan J. Kusz of Oxford and Sharon A. Giangregorio of Bourne; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A son, Ronald J. Kulesza of Worcester died in 2001. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Helen (Tamalolis) Oveka and lived many years in Worcester and Spencer.
Mrs. Kulesza was a stitcher and seamstress 43 years for area clothing manufacturing companies and retired in 1982. After retiring Agnes worked a few years as a cafeteria aide for David Prouty High School, Spencer. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday May 5 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday May 4th from 5 to 8 p.m.
