Augusta, GA --- Mrs. Louise Gurganious, 97, wife of the late Mr. David Samuel Gurganious, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel at 3:00 PM with Reverend Finley Limehouse officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Christine Glenn (Joseph) of Richmond, VA; one daughter in law, Barbara Jones of North Augusta, SC; seven grandchildren, Christine Oerman (Glen), Cheryl Lyon (Tim), Mike Jones, Kenny Jones, Vickey Bon (Steve), Tony Odom (Ceicle), Reta Odom the wife of the late Wayne Odom, Barbie Stone (Dewayne), twelve great grandchildren, and twenty eight great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents the late Luther and Lena Cushman, her son, the late Mr. Billy Jones, and two grandchildren the late Mr. Billy Jones, Jr., and the late Wayne Odom.
A native of Aiken, SC, Mrs. Gurganious was a seamstress. She loved art, where she drew and painted seasonal items. Louise loved her grandchildren and her family. She was a giving person, where she contributed to the American Cancer Society, the Fire Departments, and The Boys and Girls Club of Augusta. She was a Christian Lady.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
