Virginia C. “Ginny” (Hallamore) Williamson, 77, of Hanson, passed away on Thursday June 21st after a period of failing health.
Ginny was born in Brockton, brought up in Whitman, daughter of the late Eldon and Mabel (Manison) Hallamore. She was a Whitman High School graduate. Ginny attended the All Saints Church in Whitman for many years.
She had been a Hanson resident for more than 50 years, before moving to Kingston 3 years ago.
In her early years Ginny worked as an operator for the telephone company and later at the Plymouth County Hospital of Hanson. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her children, Theodore Hammond, Jr., of Pembroke, Terri (Hammond) Martin of Bridgewater and Tracie Decker and her husband Brian of Kingston; her grandchildren Michael and Makaila Decker.
Her services will be held on Tuesday June 26th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, MA. Interment will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Her visitation will be on Monday June 25th from 4:00-8:00PM.
