Mrs. Pauline Whitley, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Whitley was born on April 7, 1919, to the late James Oliver Cato and Elizabeth Hutcheson Cato.
Mrs. Whitley is survived by two daughters, Shirley Whitley Johnson, of Monroe, GA, and Jennell Whitley Trowell, of Eatonton, GA; daughter-in-law, Patricia Whitley, of Douglas, GA; one sister, Mayo Cato Boyce, of Midway, GA; nine grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Junious Felton Whitley, a son Jimmy Larry Whitley, a daughter Joan Carol Whitley Vann, and a son-in-law David Vann.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5-8 pm.
Funeral Services was held on Friday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Brown, Dan Miller, Lauren Dunmire (great granddaughter), and Thomas Nipper officiating. Interment followed at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
