Obituary

Mrs. Winifred C. (Kelly) Westfall, of Taunton, died Tuesday, June 19 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Westfall. She was born 92 years ago in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late John and Mary (O’Malley) Kelly. She was educated in Brooklyn and had been a Taunton resident for the past 29 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a doll dresser for the Philip J. Krokow Doll Factory in Brooklyn for many years. Winifred enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish, and the former Immaculate Conception Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: John Westfall of Taunton; 1 daughter: Mary Kirkland and her husband, Stephen of Taunton; 1 sister: Margaret Graban of Somerset; 2 grandsons: Matthew Westfall and Kevin Uva; 5 great grandchildren: Tyler DaSilva, Cayden Westfall, Tanner Westfall, Joseph Uva and John Uva, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Annamae Tremblay, Stephen Kelly, Helen Presti, Thomas Kelly and Elizabeth Gratt.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, June 22 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
