Rita M. (Fitman) Radzik, 81, of Worcester, died Monday, June 18th in St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. She is survived by her three loving children, Mary E. “Beth” Nichols and her husband, Jack of Framingham, Susan T. Radzik of Worcester and Eric J. Radzik of Everett; two grandsons, Ryan Nichols and John Nichols-Daly; a great-granddaughter, Ava; and many nephews and nieces. Two sons, Mark A. and David R. Radzik, her brother, Robert D. Fitman and her former husband, Alexander J. Radzik predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Jennie (Ulewicz) Fitman. Mrs. Radzik was a graduate of Worcester State College, earning both her Bachelors and Masters at Worcester State; and took additional post-graduate courses at Fitchburg State College. Rita had been an elementary school teacher for the Worcester School Department at various city schools including Greendale and Flagg Street schools; she retired in 1988. Mrs. Radzik will be remembered for her passion for teaching and her love of writing poetry.

Calling hours are Thursday, June 21st from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, followed by her funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
