William Donald “Donnie” Ross, 32, of Fitzgerald died Monday, June 18, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jimmy Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 Noon until the service.
Donnie was born May 3, 1980 in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He was a 1998 graduate of Irwin County High School and received his electronics training from Ben Hill-Irwin Technical College. He farmed with Wes Walters and was a former employee of Bold Chemical. Donnie lived most of his life in Ocilla and Fitzgerald and loved go-cart racing. He attended Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother: Kim Smith Davis of Fitzgerald; father and step-mother: Don & Karen Ross of Ocilla; sisters and brothers-in-law: Christi Ross Allen & Bryan of Columbus, Laura Crofutt and her fiancé Adam Hutto of Ocilla, and Jessica Ross of Ocilla; grandparents: Elke & Marchmon Howell, Charles & Sara Ross, and Phyllis & Jim Davis, all of Ocilla; as well as four nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: David Smith.
