Obituary

Victor P. Pratt, 78, of Cherry Valley, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 16th in UMass Memorial Medical Center. His wife of 34 years, JoAnn Marie (Cleary) Pratt, died in 1993. He leaves a son, Michael V. Pratt and his wife Kelly of Worcester; two daughters, Sandra A. Annunziata and her husband Richard of Cherry Valley and Susanne C. Senior and her husband Joshua of Cherry Valley; four sisters, Marie Sosvielle of New Port Richey, FL, Barbara Morin of Worcester, Carolyn Cariglia of Holden, and Janice Beressi of Holden. He was a loving Bapa to his nine grandchildren, Lauren and Meredith Pratt, Matthew, David, John, and Elizabeth Annunziata, and Anna, Emma, and Hunter Senior and his two great grandchildren, Julia and Sophia Annunziata. He also leaves his companion of 15 years, Doris Pressey; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy J. Pratt on November 1, 2011 and three brothers, Owen, Russell, and Raymond Pratt.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Victor and Catherine (O’Malley) Pratt. Mr. Pratt was a retired plasterer and owned and operated Cherry Valley Plastering for many years with his son Tim. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. His favorite times were those spent in Salisbury Beach with his family.

The funeral is Wednesday, June 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 19th from6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main Street, Cherry Valley, MA 01611.
