Reardon, John F., of Marshfield, June l4, 20l2, at the age of 8l. Beloved husband of Jean M. (Peterson) Reardon. Son of the late John F. and Delia (Glennon) Reardon. Brother of the late James J. Reardon and late Mary Tranni. Brother-in-law of Stephen Peterson and his wife Marilyn of Duxbury, Ann Horrigan and her husband Nicholas of Norwell, and Christine Peterson of Lakewood, Colorado. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
John was born in Boston. He was a chemistry professor (retired) at University of Massachusetts, Boston. John was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield, on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by The Sea Church, 59l Ocean St., Marshfield at l0 a.m.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
