Ida (Faria) Furtado, age 93 of Fall River, passed away June 16, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Antone Furtado and the daughter of the late Domingos C. & Marianna (Oliveira) Faria. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Furtado worked as an Office Manager & Bookkeeper for Fayette Mfg., Standard Furniture Co., which then became part of Stafford Furniture Co. She also worked for Betsy-Ann Mfg. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
Ida was the mother of Marilyn S. Harris (husband Loney) of Somerset.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on FRIDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on THURSDAY from 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
