Rooney, Mildred “Millie” Lucille (Eilenberger), 90, passed away Friday June 15, 2012 at the Essex Nursing Facility.
“Millie” was born in Louisville to Harry O. and Alda Belle (Stevens) Eilenberger. She was a switchboard operator for the old Bank of St. Helens and a dedicated member of Beechland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, George Norman Rooney.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ann Schaefer (Bob); grandchildren, Terry and Shannon Schaefer; great grandchildren, Christian and Kelly Schaefer; and many dear friends and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 12-8 Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers expressions may be given to Beechland Building fund.
