Antonino V. “Zino” Gerardi, 76 of Peabody, died Friday after a long illness in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, MA.
Born in Italy, he lived in Peabody for the past 6 years and formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Giovanna (Maltese) and Antonino Gerardi. Antonino was the prior owner and co-founder of Mama Lisa's Pizzeria in Somerville, he served dear friends and patrons with love and humor for over 30 years.
Beloved husband of Leonarda “Dina” (Ingianni) Gerardi. Devoted father of Joanne Fulciniti and her husband Peter of Peabody, Marilena Klisiaris and her husband Greg of Canton, Lisa Grieco and her husband Tony of Middleton. Loving grandfather of Saverio Fulciniti, Demetri, Antonio and Arianna Klisiaris, Antonette, and Christina Marie Grieco. Brother of Vito Gerardi of Malden and the late Franco Gerardi and Josephine Ingianni. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews throughout the United States and in Italy.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 11AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
