Obituary

SPRINGFIELD - Yvette M. (Blette) White, 95, a longtime resident of Canton Street in the East Springfield section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, June 14, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Birch Manor in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Springfield on January 13, 1917, a beloved daughter of the late Noel J. and Orise (Peloquin) Blette. She was raised in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church in East Springfield. Besides her parents and several siblings, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard E. White, who was Called Home on September 12, 1976. She leaves: her loving sisters, Anita J. Flathers and her husband, Frederick, of Ludlow and Jeannette M. Maslak of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her burial will follow the service at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. before the service. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to New England Hospice, 190 Old Derby Road, Hingham, MA 02043.
