Obituary

William L. “Bill” O’Leary, 81, of Natick, passed away on June 15, 2012 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lois Louise (Bell) O’Leary with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Boston, son of the late John J. and Alice (Ryan) O’Leary, Bill was raised in Boston. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps at the age of 15 serving honorably in the Pacific Theater during WWII and then with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning from military service Bill began his career as a sheet metal worker until his retirement in the early 1990’s. A dedicated and devoted family man, Bill was a great provider who cherished his family. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union – Local 17 of Boston and the Natick Lions Club.

Bill was the devoted father of John J. O'Leary & Verna Mims of Hopkinton, Robert William "Bill" O'Leary & his wife Clare of Taunton, Anne E. O'Leary of Stockholm, Sweden, Robert Christopher "Bob" O'Leary & his wife Christine of Carlisle, David L. O'Leary & his wife Kathleen of Framingham, Mark P. O'Leary & his fiancée Linda Marino of Dover, Patricia L. LaCascia & her husband Charles of Hopkinton, Alicia J. O'Leary & her fiancée Daniel Garvey of Natick, and Katherine R. Elkins & her husband Stephen of Franklin. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Kaitlyn, Erin, Zachary, Sean, Kyle, Sam, Andreas, Christopher, Fiona, Maeve, Myles, Emma, Luke, Max, Nicholas, & Julia. Dear brother of Noreen O'Leary of Brighton, Paul O'Leary of Taunton, & Nancy O'Leary. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by 9 brothers & sisters.

Relatives & friends are cordially invited to attend Bill's funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 9:00 AM to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in the Most Precious Blood Church, 30 Centre St. Dover at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 1-3 & 6-8 PM.
