FALL RIVER – Bella (Souza) Gonsalves, wife of the late Antonio N. Gonsalves, died at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Home in Fall River on June 15, 2012.
She was 92.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Filomena (Laurence) Souza.
Educated in the Fall River school system, Mrs. Gonsalves resided in Taunton for many years and was employed by the former Geilich Tannery.
She retired in 1979.
Mrs. Gonsalves is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late John and Manuel V. Souza, Gloria Perry, Delia Mello, Filomena Corey and Irene Correia.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, June 18th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 17th from 4 to 7 p.m.
