Helen J. (McLean) Higgins of Somerville died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on what would have been her 63rd wedding anniversary, June 12, 2012.
Beloved wife of the late Harold P. Higgins. Loving mother of Jane and her husband Richard Gerbrands, Lawrence Higgins and Jo-Ann Donovan, all of Somerville, James Higgins and his wife Connie of MN, Mary Ellen and her husband James Palermo of Medford, Michael Higgins and his wife Vicki of NH, Nancy and her husband Brian Mangan of Medford and the late Kathleen and William Lawlor. Inspirational grandmother to 15 and great grandmother to 2. Sister of the late Warren C. McLean. Funeral from the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Monday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
