Joan H. ( Gehl) Welsh a longtime resident of Brockton passed away at the age of 73 on Saturday June 9, 2012. She is survived by two sisters, Jean Yetman of wilmington,MA and Jane Gehl of Stoughton,MA as well as nine children: James G. Welsh Jr.,Debra J. Welsh, John E. Welsh and Mary J. Welsh all of Brockton,Laura A. Welsh of Taunton, Sandra J. Welsh of Canton, Michael R. Welsh and his wife Desire' of Fall River, Diane P. Reinhart and her husband James of Weymouth and Loretta L. Savoie of Plymouth. Other survivors include her four grandchildren, Jimmy and Kelly Reinhart of Weymouth, David Harris of Taunton and Katie Marshall of Plymouth.
Born September 12, 1938 in Marshfield, Wisconsin Joan was a daughter to the late Jacob and Lydia (Krause) Gehl. She was well-liked and love by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. People were always amazed by the beautiful Roses she could grow even through October from her garden. Like her they were remarkable and stayed fresh while you had them.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 16, 2012 from 3 – 5 PM in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Funeral service and interment will be private.
