Danny H. Johnson, 60, of Londonderry, NH died on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Concord Hospital, Concord, NH from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on August 1, 1951 in Manchester, NH a son of the late Robert Johnson and Rita (Duperron) Lafond. He was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area and a graduate of West High School in Manchester, Class of 1969. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Mr. Johnson was an administrator at the NH Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester, with federal service of over 40 years. He was a lifelong fisherman, avid sports fan and self proclaimed “expert” at telling jokes. Danny was a caring husband, loving father and great friend. He was a communicant of St. Marks Church in Londonderry.
He is survived by his daughter Heidi Emrich and her husband Andrew of New York, one sister, Gail Sand of Arizona, one brother Marc Lafond of New Hampshire, nieces, nephews and cousins including Lucille and Dave Boudreau. Also survived by his extended family Leo and Marlene Rouillard and Doug and Julie Brochu. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years Constance C. (Acheson) Johnson on August 13, 2005.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Cremation followed. Burial with honors was on Friday June 15th at 9:00am at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
