Eugene K. Robeau 69, of Chestnut Hill Rd, died peacefully Wednesday at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Switzer) Robeau to whom he was married for 49 years. Born in Jefferson Parish, LA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Gagne) Robeau. Eugene worked for General Motors Corporation for thirty-three years. He began working in Framingham in 1967and was transferred to Dover, Delaware in the mid-nineties. Eugene spent his last three years with General Motors in Westwood, MA where he retired in 2000. He was a U S Air Force Veteran. Eugene graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Business. Eugene had many interest and hobbies including, photography, boating, and woodworking. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and clocks which he repaired. He was a technology enthusiast. His love of photography will be enjoyed by all who knew him. Eugene also enjoyed making DVD's for family and friends, chronicling the memories they shared. He loved life, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son Kenneth E. Robeau and his wife Jennifer of Worcester, MA, two daughters, Charlene Salome and her husband Timothy of N. Smithfield, RI, and Cheryl Montanari and her husband Wayne of Blackstone, MA, two brothers, Richard Robeau of Blackstone, MA, and Denis Robeau of Casselberry, FL, a sister Shirley Lacroix of Woonsocket, RI and five grandchildren, Aaron, Jillian and Shannon Salome, and Emma and Olivia Robeau. He was also the brother of the late Norman Robeau.
