JONES William J. “Billy” age 65 of Mission Hill passed away on Saturday June 9, 2012. Born on August 11, 1946. Son of the late Nora (Murphy) and Patrick Jones formerly of County Kerr, Ireland. Loving brother of the late Paul Jones of Walpole, Mary Ellen Mulcahy of Hyde Park and Patrick Jones - his infant twin who died at birth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Thursday, June 14th. at 8:30am. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) at 10:30am. Visiting hour from 8:30 – 9:30am. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45pm. Billy served his country honorably during the Vietnam War as a member of the Air Force. He was a long time member and former Commander of the American Legion Mission Hill Post 327 and Brookline Lodge of Elks 886.
